My story

Before I started to play vibraphone my main instruments were drums and piano (besides composing, which has always been my main main instrument).

I started to play the vibraphone 2004. When I finished high school I played a lot with the tenor saxophone player Nisse Sandström.

2006 to 2008 I studied at Skurups Folkhögskola in southern Sweden. I got involved in many different bands and one of them is still active.

Especially when playing in Prylf, I use a vibraphone with K&K pickups and a Simmons Silicon Mallet, and I patch everything through a computer with Max/MSP to tweak the sound in any way I like. This allows me to use funny wifi controllers like iPhone and other usb controllers, which may enhance the vibraphone to something new/else.

Prylf

Call Omar

We play blues. In this band I play drums. Our album "The Radio House Sessions" is available on iTunes and Spotify!
